2024 SUMMER THEATRE CAMP at THE WORD BARN

Join us for a two week whirlwind of singing, dancing, acting and more! Campers will spend two weeks honing their craft, working with professional artists from all around the Seacoast, and learning a full length musical (Peter Pan JR.), culminating with a final performance in the beautiful Word Barn Meadow.
We will jump right in on day one with improv games, voice, dance, and acting classes, and ensemble building. Campers will have the chance to audition the first day, and will leave knowing their role in the production, ready to begin rehearsals first thing Tuesday morning. MusicalArts focuses on team building, working as an ensemble, the process of putting up a show, and sending campers home at the end of the session with a solid foundation in theatre arts. We pride ourselves on offering students a safe space to be themselves, create, build lasting friendships and flourish as artists.

Camp Dates: July 8-19, performances July 19 & 21
Camp Hours: Monday - Friday 9am-4pm
Camp Location: The Word Barn (66 Newfields Rd, Exeter, NH)
2024 Tuition: $650 per camper/session

Early Bird Discount: enroll by December 1st for $75 off tuition
CIT Discount: $300 off tuition (Ages 15-17, must apply)
Sibling Discount*: $50 off tuition for each additional registration.

Counselors in Training (CITs) are campers who demonstrate exemplary leadership, honesty, and responsibility. CITs act as leaders within camp as well as a support system for their Counselors while still participating in all aspects of camp life. Applications for CITs will be carefully reviewed as spots are limited.
CITs will receive $300 off tuition. Applicants must be at least 15 years old during camp.

A non-refundable minimum deposit of $150 is due with registration. Full payment must be received at least 15 days before the first day of camp.
Discounts for MusicalArts Day Camps will be capped at $300.
Cancellation Policy: Up to 2 weeks before camp, all money paid above the deposit will be refunded. In the 2 weeks before camp, 50% of money paid above the deposit will be refunded. After camp has begun, there will be no refunds. In the case of cancellation due to COVID-19, the full registration including the deposit will be refunded or credited.

FROZEN FRENZY DANCE CAMP
This camp offers daily music, dance and crafts from both movies- dress up is encouraged! Every day will end with a short performance. This popular camp fills quickly and space is limited.
FAIRYTALE DANCE CAMP
Every day we’ll enter the world of a different fairy tale with dance, music, theater and art. We’ll make fairy wands, crowns, dress up, and dance with your child’s favorite fairy tales! Engaging teachers will captivate your child’s imagination and engage their love of dance. This popular camp fills quickly and space is limited.
CIRCUS CAMP
Circus Camp is a day-camp experience designed to introduce children to circus, performing, and visual arts in a safe and noncompetitive environment. This is a great intro to aerial, or a way for the experienced aerialists to practice over the summer. Join us for juggling, aerial silks, magic, face painting, mime, puppetry, arts & crafts, storytelling, music, acrobats and more!

DESCENDANTS & ZOMBIES DANCE CAMP
This new camp, we will feature songs, dances, crafts and games from the hit series
Descendants and Zombies! Every day will end with a short performance. Register today!
DANCE INTENSIVE
Home your skills in this week long dance intensive, ending with a very special performance! Open to intermediate to advanced dancers/by instructor permission.
THEATRE CAMP
An exciting opportunity to perform in a production! Mornings are filled with warm ups, improv games, learning music and choreography, followed by afternoon rehearsals. Students will create basic sets and costumes for our end of session performance at the end of the week.
AERIAL CAMP
This week long camp will give students time on the silks, conditioning work, strengthening exercises, help gaining flexibility, and more to further skills. A small performance will be held in the studio at the end of the week.
